Why join Queenstown Golf Club?

Read below from some of our current members on why they enjoy being members of Queenstown Golf Club.

This afternoon I turned up to the Golf Club to hit a few practice balls. Quinton was on deck and was outside sorting out something on buggy’s.

I walked into the Pro Shop and he followed me in. Waiting on the counter was a bucket of balls with a cherry ripe and a peach tea on top (what the boy’s commonly refer to as a “Yanni Combo”). I have no idea how he managed it! I laughed and laughed when I saw this. Now that's customer service. Quinton has always provided me friendly service but this was another level on the personal side.

Combine this with

1. Matt who as well as being the face of Queenstown Golf Club is always smiling, happy, helpful and always positive / complimentary

2. Joel who provides the balance by being the cheeky sly one who gives me plenty of grief in a fun and respectful manner (I wouldn’t have it any other way)

3. Ollie who never fails to greet me and say hello

and you have a great setup staff wise. Also add the fact that these boys have ensured my guests have always be made to feel like my Club is also their’s, and the quality decision taken that VB is now in the Clubhouse fridges and I couldn’t be a happier Club member.

I will always advise poor customer service no matter what it maybe or where it may come from, but will also try to balance this by recognising the good where possible.

Thanks John.

Cool Club

"My wife and I are regular visitors to Queenstown. It is simply the most beautiful region in the world in our view. We are new to golf having started out at your club and Arrowtown xmas 2014. We have just returned from our annual xmas break in Queenstown. This year we joined your club which we find stunning. Great layout, wonderful scenery and good state of repair. I particularly wanted to write to acknowledge the high quality team you have. Everyone we had contact with from the pro shop to the catering area was friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning later this year." Steve and Donna Leigh - 12/1/16

"Joining Queenstown Golf Club is the best decision I've made since moving to Queenstown. The course is amazing, always in great condition and set in the most beautiful alpine surroundings. It's a refreshingly sociable club too, the team will always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and get you a game and there's always good craic in the bar. The membership rates are exceptionally reasonable for Queenstown, leaving you with more money to spend in the bar after golf!" Stephen McAteer - October 2015

"I have been a member of Queenstown Golf Club for 6 years. As a Kiwi who's based in Sydney 9 months of the year I don't get to play my favourite course in the world as much as I'd like, but when I do it brings out the best in my golf. You simply can't have a bad round there, just look around to see the spectacular views from every hole, and your mind will be so engaged your golf just flows! Having played at many courses around the world I rate Queenstown Golf Club in my top 5. You can't beat it, and the course is always in fantastic condition, winter or summer. Not to mention how friendly everyone when I'm there."
Suzanne Vidak - September 2014

"My first game at Queenstown Golf Club was in December 2001. It set the scene for me, as two members asked me to join them on hole 13. I have always felt welcomed and included. I urge new members to get involved, as I found that the more I gave, the more I benefitted.
Becoming involved with the club, has been a wonderful way of finding a place in this community, learning more about golf and meeting many fantastic friends. The course is both challenging and achievable depending on the weather, but always a great place to play. I whole-heartedly recommend the course, it's members and staff all combining to make it the best in the area." Heather Atkinson - October 2014

"The Queenstown Golf Club has a challenging course with some of the best views you will ever see on a golf course. The subs are excellent value and the members are a great mix of locals as well as imports from all around New Zealand and the world. The clubhouse is welcoming and the staff are helpful and friendly. What's not to like?? I just love going over to the club and do so as often as I possibly can."
Grant Hardy - October 2014
